Hello everyone. I'm sure you are not taking a full minute to show your shock at the near month-long hiatus. And, after two posts in one week you probably thought I could do better than another month between posts...
Anyway, it's been absolutely crazy around here. Since my last post, I've been to Iowa for Crystal's Baby Shower and then less than a week later we went to San Antonio to visit Jer's parents.
The baby shower was great-my sister, unlike me, has a lot of friends. There were more than 20 people who braved near-blizzard conditions to come to the shower. That was neat to see. Even better will be when we meet Baby Jackson!
The trip to San Antonio was great. It was nice to escape the colder weather and see Jer's family. We don't get to do that often and we had a great time. It also really helped that the first full day we were there the high was 100 degrees, talk about sweet! Especially for a warm weather person like me! :)
Lucas was great on all four flights that we took for the trip. He looked out the window, tried to grab everything on the plane-tabletops, armrests, grimy dirt on the windows, you name it.
Grammy and Granddad were elated to see their grandson after 4 long months without the opportunity to do so. They were amazed at how big he is-who isn't? The dude is kinda big for his age, to say the least. He got to meet his Uncle Dan, also known as Uncle Monkey, and his Aunt Whitney and some of her family. They all seemed to hit it off. Lucas got to meet co-workers and friends of his Grammy and Granddad and seemed to have a great time. Here are a few of the pics from the trip.

Since we've been back from San Antonio, we've been catching up on a lot of stuff. I fell a little over half way down our stairs with Lucas before we left for the trip. I saved him (thank God), but didn't save my back. Since we've been back from San Antonio, I've made it worse by acting like it didn't happen (imagine that) and going about my life as normal. That bright plan has backfired since now it hurts to do literally everything. So, I finally went into the chiropractor. Did you know they now have the technology to run a little scanner from your neck to your tailbone that shows alignment, heat response, deterioration, etc.? I was amazed! Then after I saw the results, I was in shock. My neck was over 350% out of alignment on both sides. All my other vertibrae, give or take a few, were between 80 and 225% off alignment. My chiro has his work cut out for him! Anyway, that's about it-fun times, huh?
Alright, let's see if I can make another posting before another month rolls around. I can bet no one is betting on that one. :)
DUH!!!! you waited that long to go to the chiropractor. I should smack you for that one. Pull a little "Could've had a V8" on ya except with a 2X4 instead. Cute cute pics of Lucas... maybe you should put pictures of him on here more often. Just a thought. We'll see how well I do after I have Jackson.
ReplyDeleteGuaranteed you will do better than me, no contest there...
ReplyDeleteWell that really wouldn't be a contest even would it.
ReplyDeleteOk, it's been long enough. I know you have pictures and news--like Crystal's baby!!! I am waiting.....
ReplyDeleteGive Lucas a hug and kiss for me.
