It's been 2 weeks since my last post-I tell you sometimes it just gets ridiculous! The days and weeks just fly by. I can't complain though, we are thoroughly enjoying family life. We are especially enjoying the day-to-day developments and new expressions. Lucas now holds on tightly to anything he can grab, like his baby friend or your hair for example. :) He can also "hold" his bottle-he thinks he's so big. He likes his bath even more than he used to. He really loves to kick and punch even more than before-a prelude to toddlerhood, right? Just kidding. But the best part right now is his constant smiling-he really is a happy baby (thank God). You think it can't be any worse and you get home and he smiles at you from ear to ear. Somehow the problems of the day disappear (and I'm not even trying to be poetic or cheesy).
Jer and I are enjoying more than just our family life. We've been going to the YMCA regularly-thanks to familial motivation (i.e. Michele and Jason prodding us along). Just kidding-Jer's never needed motivation to exercise, I always have. Michele keeps me on my toes. Actually, I really enjoy water fitness. It helps when you enjoy the way in which you are exercising. We'll see how running goes when I start that.
This Sunday will be our 6th week in Thrive-the Sunday School class we've been attending of which the motto is "taking marriages from merely surviving to thriving." Slightly silly title, but it is beneficial whether your marriage is in the dumps or is going well. The discussion points are thought-provoking and as a side benefit we are making lots of friends with other couples. The class is really growing, which is exciting.
Well, that's it for now. I'd thought I could leave you on a good note-with some new pics of Lucas (trying to eat Daddy and all ready for church).
You weren't kidding that he'll be out of 0-3 within a couple weeks. He's getting so big. Can't wait to see you guys next week. Just a week to go.
ReplyDeleteGood job blogging... it wasn't that long ago... wasn't it warm and breezy and the leaves were turning colors the last time you blogged!!!
He's a big boy who loves to eat (obviously)! :) The zero to three month clothes will be ready for Jackson when you get here next week. :)
